About Gambia

Gambia is Africa’s smallest country, only 500km long and 50km wide, and except the shoreline, it’s entirely enveloped by Senegal. The population is around 1.8 million of which 58% live in urban areas.

English is the official language, but there are many local African languages such as  Mandinka, Wolof and Fula. 90% are muslim and going to the mosque is a natural part of the day.
