Har du någon gång funderat att arbete med tandvård som volontär?

Under våren 2014 behöver vi ett par tandläkare alternativ tandhygienister som har lust att arbete i Gambia i Väst Afrika under 2-3 veckor.
Arbetet är en del av får satsning på projektet +fluoride. Ett projekt där vi förser skolbarn med fluoriderat salt i skolmaten samtidigt med att vi försöker höja kunskapen om vikten av god munhälsa och kost hos de vuxna kring barnen..
Arbetsuppgifterna består dels av undervisning men mest av behandling av barn och vuxna.

Have you ever been thinking of working with dentistry as a volunteer?

During the spring of 2014 we need a couple of dentists or dental hygienists who want to go and work in The Gambia in West Africa for 2-3 weeks.
The work is part of our project +fluoride. A project where we provide fluoridated salt for school lunches and at the same time try to raise awareness of oral health and nutrition with the adults around the kids.
The work consist of part education but mostly dental treatment on children and adults

We welcom dentist Inger Wennhall as new secretary of Afrikaada TeethSavers.

Inger has worked for quiet some years with ATS both in Sweden and in The Gambia. Having Inger as part of the ATS board is of true acces. Inger is knowen for her great work in preventiv dental amongst children.

The two dentists Jette Lehrmann and Ola Lindström went to the Gambia in October to continue the work with Afrikaada Teethsavers. It is the end of the rainy season, but there is still a lot of rain coming! They visited the village Jappineh to give oral treatment. See the gallery or click here to see the photos.
